King Cole Galaxy Dk – after the success of the blacks and greys, King Cole has introduced some great new colours – fuchsia, purple and red.  Lightweight and easy to wear for day or evening.

Look what you can do with some handmade large knitting needles, lots of oddments in varying textures and thicknesses. Ideal for cosy blankets and throws. Now working on extra long Tunisian crochet hooks,

Where would we be without our handyman? Harry’s hard at work giving the garden chairs and tables a fresh look ready for the spring.

Adriafil Monello is an interesting thick and thin lumpy yarn, 55% wool and 45% acrylic. The boxy cardigan is not knitted to an Adriafil pattern, but is interchangeable with two other lightweight super chunky yarns we stock (10mm needles).  Size 34″ takes approximately 8 balls, I knitted it slightly longer than the pattern to cover the middle.

We love this new yarn, Rialto Lace can take as little as 3 or 4 balls to make a garment, good price, luxurious look and feel and lightweight too.

A couple of great new Noro books just in time for Christmas. The Noro Accessories book includes many easy to knit small projects including gloves, mittens scarves, cowls, bags, a really cute dogs coat and much more!  The Knit Noro includes larger projects such as shawls, wraps, cardigans etc.

Rowan Kidsilk Haze Stripe is great to knit and great colours too.  Unfortunately the photo doesn’t do the yarn justice.  The 50gm ball includes a scarf pattern but I made a lovely garter stitch shawl instead,  just cast on 7 sts using 5mm needles and continue as follows:

Row 1- K3, yfwd, K1(centre), yfwd, K3 (9 sts)

Row 2- Knit

Row 3- K3, yfwd, K1, yfwd, k1(centre), yfwd, K1, yfwd, K3 (13 sts)

Row 4- Knit

Row 5- K3, yfwd, K3, yfwd, k1(centre), yfwd, K3, yfwd, K3 (17 sts)

Row 6- Knit

Continue increasing either side of the middle (placing a marker there -it helps) and on the inside of the borders (4 sts each increase row).

We are now experimenting using Debbie Bliss Botany Lace, but using 5.5mm needles.

Wonderfully soft lace weight Party Angel with a hint of glitter.  Ten fabulous shades, suitable for day or evening wear with a new  two pattern booklet either a stole or shrug, using no more than 4 or 5 balls.
